As a lifelong Hastings resident and mother of four children, Sierra is running for City Council because we need fresh leadership that honors Hastings values. As a former preschool teacher and hospice caregiver, Sierra understands how important it is to have a community that provides opportunities for our young people and cares for all our residents. 

In 2024, Sierra worked to get paid sick leave on the ballot because she believes that hardworking Nebraskans deserve to earn and use paid sick days when they need them most. 

Talking to voters about this issue across the community has taught Sierra that there are things the City can do to help make Hastings an even better place to live. Hastings is where she was raised and Sierra wants to ensure it is a place her children will want to raise their families.
